Doctor Who
RTD has done it again! Awesome first part made of awesome followed by disappointing second parter
*sigh*
There were aspects of it that were excellent, but that was mostly down to some amazing acting from David Tennant and Catherine Tate.
Plot-wise it was just a bit insane. I know it's a sci-fi show but it just got way too silly for my liking. I felt incredibly let down by the regeneration cop-out and the two doctors was fun but clearly just a plot device so they could give the Rose/Ten shippers a happily ever after.
I did like the way they tied everything together though and I did shed a tear or two for Donna at the end. I will miss her. She has hands down been the best assistant so far.
And if Martha and Mickey join Torchwood that will be cool too. If anything this show finally made me like Gwen.
So, any guesses as to what's to come? Do we have rumours about the next assistant yet?
Oh, and how awesome were the German speaking daleks? Awesome!

And the end made me sad too :(

I felt it had far more characterization, and tied up all the emotional bits. I'll take that over plot, anytime!

I think being disappointed in the first half made it more likely that I'd enjoy this one. My sites weren't set as high.

But then, my mind tends to go to very warped places.

Which would be all sorts of awesome.

I liked that they did the whole two doctors and give one to Rose. It means SM starts with a clean slate and never has to bother with Rose again if he doesn't want to.
We all know I haven't been the biggest Donna fan. I've finally started seeing "Donna" rather than "Catherine Tate" over the last - oh say 4 episodes, and I was kind of bummed that they did her in the way they did. But I bless all the beings of the world that I won't have to watch her anymore.
