Exactly! I think Clark is the only person Lex ever allowed himself to fully trust and get close to, and it just ended up with Clark abandoning him in the same way (in his head) his mother did when she died

Poor guy!

This is why I can't watch the show now that there will be no Lex. It just isn't the same without him, but I hope there will be lots of Michael on our screens in the future
