I loved this episode, right till the last minute... then they slipped in the stuff about the Doctor's song coming to an end. Does that mean Russel T is really going to do it? Gah!
A thousands deaths on that man - or a thousand paper cuts for a thousand years - which ever is less pleasant.
Other than that... I enjoyed it, I like the affect Donna has on the Doctor, it's good for him. Yay for Martha being back though - then again how will Donna and Martha react to one another - remember when the tension with Sarah Jane way back when?
And Sontarans are back - they brought us Martha once, seems here we go again. I have a sneaky suspicion that the big plot this year is going to be all about the Shadow Proclamation.
The reference in 'Partners in Crime' as if the Shadow Proclamation weren't a treaty, but some kind of group, or race has me thinking something big is coming. Now the Sontarans were a law and order bunch, but on the extreme side.
Thing is, previously when the name Shadow Proclamation has been used, it really did give the impression it was some kind of treaty. I could believe in the Doctor invoking that. But invoking the name of a group that is forcing a set of rules on the universe, without A) enforcing, or B) actually having consensus seems wrong. It'd be like me going over up to the Alaska and threatening the esquimaux with English laws. Oh wait, the American's do that everywhere - and are considered border line immoral, border line terrorists for it.
Yay for Unit though - it's been too long since we've seen Unit in Doctor Who really. Since the introduction of the Brigadeer, only two Doctor's haven't met him - Christopher Ecclestone, and David Tennant. So here's hoping that they at least put it close to being right. The Brigadeer was always awesome, and it's great having a good guy who's as re-occuring as the Doctor's enemies.
